He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Poggensee and Irene Nelson Poggensee; and his wife Barbara Lynn Chandler. He is survived by: his brother Dennis Poggensee of Denver, Colorado; his sons, David Ray Poggensee (Rebecca) of Burleson, Texas and Daniel Scott Poggensee of McKinney, Texas; and his grandsons, Chandler Ray Poggensee and Caden Reed Poggensee.
