She was predeceased by: her parents, E. A. White and Eunice White (Wooley); her husband Walter L. Kendig; and her brother Gary White. She is survived by: her sons, Glenn A. Kendig (Cindy) and Terry L. Kendig (Susan); her grandchildren, Matthew Kendig (Kristine) and Lauren Kendig; her great grandchild Hollie; and her sister Dolores Bohi.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials in Alta's name be made to the Country Crossroads Extension Education Club, 604 N. Main St #200, Weatherford, TX 76086.
