He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Guy Watson and Aline McGehee Watson; his spouse Linda Gail Tyree; his granddaughter Josie (Dakota); his daughter Darla Hix; his son-in-law Wade Bell; his daughters, Melinda Rickwartz (Barnie) of Claude, Kandi Bell of Wayside and Amelia Bullock (Tom) of Wayside; and his brother Gail Watson of Claude. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Wayside Methodist Church, Box 129, Wayside, TX 79094.
