He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie A. Ellzey and Georgia M. Ellzey; his former wife Margaret J. Ellzey; and his siblings, Charles V. Ellzey, Eva Cheeks and Vivian Butler.
He is survived by: his wife Laverne Carol Ellzey; his children, Paul V. Ellzey (Tammy Ellzey), Margaret D. Carpenter (Andrew Carpenter) and Sherry J. Ellzey; and his stepdaughters, Terrie S. Bartlett, Mindi L. Bartlett and Amy J. Arias. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
