He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Cooke and Una Cooke; his former wife Catherine Osborne Cooke; his siblings, Hollis Cooke (Beatrice), Fred Cooke (Anna), Phama Garritson (Loyd), Ina Mae Nash (Wesley), Geneiva Dyess (Wesley), Frankie Lord and Mary Evelyn Patman; and his brothers-in-law, Red Dyess and Sonny Venable.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita Cooke; his sons, Layne Cooke (Anne) of Arlington, TX and Kevin Cooke (Sherri) of Waxahachie, TX; his grandchildren, Branden Walker of Austin, Ian Cooke, Kellen Cooke, Caitlin Cooke of Arlington, TX, Kasey Cooke of Red Oak, TX and Taylor Cooke of Red Oak, TX; his siblings, Wendall Cooke (Marva) of Waxahachie, TX, Billy Joe Cooke (Evelyn) of Waxahachie, TX, LaRue Dyess of San Antonio, TX and Betty Jane Venable of Midlothian, TX; and his brothers-in-law, Donald Patman and Lemuel Lord. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to the Christian Care Center, c/o Brown Street Church of Christ, 2471 Brown Street, Waxahachie, TX 75165.
