He was predeceased by: his son Logan; his parents, Marvin and Mary Ann; his brother Henry; and his siblings-in-law, Diane, Gary McGuire and Richard Glassett.

He is survived by: his wife Mary; his son Paul Ryan (Tamara); his grandchildren, Addie, Ember, Lilith and Brilee; his daughters, Marissa and Katrina; his daughter-in-law Emily; and his siblings, Margie, Mark (Kim), Kay Ledbetter (Randy), Jane Meyer (Richard), Jean Noggler (John), Neil (Cheryl), Kathleen (Keith) and Richard Koetting. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (600 E Marvin Ave, Waxahachie, TX 75165). A rosary was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (500 E Marvin Ave, Waxahachie, TX 75165).
