She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin Boone Smith and Annie Mae Smith. She is survived by: her spouse O. S. Maris III (Sid); and her sons, Sid Maris IV, Justin Maris, Eric Maris and Andrew Maris. She is also survived by her husband, four children and four grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
