Jane Gorman Acker Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jane Gorman Acker (Waxahachie, Texas), who passed away on September 24, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, William Raymond Gorman and Frances Baumgartner Gorman; her sister Martha Rae Tarrant; her brother-in-law Ron Tarrant; her children, Patricia Zuercher (David Zuercher) and John Hicks (Kayla Hicks); her grandchildren, Riley William Hicks, Brady William Hicks and Rachel Anne Zuercher; her nephew William Tarrant (Ruthe Tarrant); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Lucy Rae and Noa Rae Tarrant.

In later years, understanding from her own experience that patients who undergo infusion therapy can feel chilled, she crocheted shawls that she donated to infusion centers for use by patients to be warmed and comforted during their therapy.
