It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Georgia Jean Wakeland in Waxahachie, Texas, born in Waco, Texas, who passed away on March 2, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Walker Yarbrough and Flora Lowe; and her brothers, Floyd Yarbrough, Olen Yarbrough (Edna) and G. W. "Dood" Yarbrough (Frances).
She is survived by: her husband Henry Lee Wakeland Jr.; her daughter Jeana Williams; her son-in-law Randy Williams; her son Jimmy Wakeland; her granddaughters, Jennifer Harvey and Whitney Wakeland; her great grandchildren, Gavin Harvey, Jazlyn Harvey, Alyssa Harvey and Cain Harvey; her great great grandchildren, Harlo Harvey and River Ryburn; and her friends, Judy Williams and LaRue Dyess. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Jean requests shoes to be donated for children in need.
