Gayle King Obituary

We are sad to announce that on June 30, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Gayle King (Waxahachie, Texas), born in Dallas, Texas. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Cecil Gayle Blankenship; her husband J. W. King; her son Jesse Gayle King; and her mother Gladys Omega Armstrong Mann. She is survived by: her daughters, Ellyce King and Linda Speer (Philip Coe) of Waxahachie; and her grandchildren, Denise King, Marc Smith of Waxahachie, Misty Woodhall (Andy) of Dallas, Paul Jones (Rebecca) of Rowlett, Paula Gayle Coleman (Ian) of Ennis, Amy Hedgecock (Blake) of Keller and Paul Norris of Tennessee. She is also survived by eight great grand children and one great great granddaughter and many, many nieces and nephews.

She had charities she thought were important and we think she would prefer donations made to those charities would be preferred to flowers: North Central Texas Meals on Wheels, The Dallas Arboretum, St. Judes Hospital, Texas Wildlife or The Disabled Veterans of America.
