He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Stanton and Annie Stanton; and his siblings, Maddie, Allie, Eloise, Charline, Christine, Walter (Bud) and James.
He is survived by: his wife Nelma; his sons, Mike, Keith (Tonya) and Terry (Michelle); his grandchildren, Justin Stanton, Jarret Stanton, Paige Dobbie (Taylor), Teri Lenee Stanton and Tasha Summers (Daniel); his great grandchildren, Kira, Lucas, Brynlee, Brantley and Luke; and his cousin Johnnie Stanton Oates. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
