He was predeceased by: his former wife Wynema Richard Holmes; his parents, Dave Holmes and Nellie Holmes; his sister Virginia Hembree; and his granddaughter Kaylee Holmes.
He is survived by: his wife Rosie Allen of Grand Prairie, TX; his children, Brent Holmes (Jana) of Midlothian, TX, Carla Meadows (Patrick) of Ovilla, TX, Bradley Holmes (Glenda) of Green River, WY and Greg Holmes (Daphne) of Mansfield, TX; and his siblings, Vicky Branscum of Plainview, TX and Elmo Holmes of Lindale, TX. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Waxahachie Funeral Home (1201 US-287, Waxahachie, TX 75165). A memorial service was held on Thursday, August 29th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
