Darlene West Obituary

Darlene Baker West (Mom), of Waxahachie, Tx, was reunited with Daddy on October 31, 2021, after a long battle with cancer. Darlene was born August 18, 1943 to A.D. Baker and Cadie Mae Baker in Waxahachie, Tx.

On July 16, 1961 she married the love of her life Robbie Earl West of Red Oak, Tx. Together they had three children, Dorothy West Black, Ronnie Earl West Jr. and William Paul West.

Darlene was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Ronnie Earl West; her parents A.D. Baker and Cordie Mae Baker; three sisters Billie Jo Bush; Floyce Lee Hodges and Laura Lou Morgan; three brothers Gene Baker, Arviel Dene Baker, and Darvin Baker.

Darlene is survived by two sisters Geneva Neal and Bobbie Ann Baker; three children Dorothy West Black and husband Keith Black of Payne Springs, Texas; Ronnie West Jr and wife Wanda West of Red Oak, Texas, and William Paul West of Waxahachie, Texas; four grandchildren Ashley Smitz, Gregg Flaherty, Brandon Flaherty and Hudson West; two great grandchildren Conner Flaherty and Emma Flaherty.

Darlene's hobbies were cooking and baking. She was known for her famous cinnamon rolls and cheesecakes. She loved having her friends over for game nights. She enjoyed shopping and sitting outside with friends and family.
Darlene will be greatly missed and will be forever in our hearts.
We love you mom!!
