He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wright and Estelle Wright; his parents-in-law, Rinaldo and Bobbie Sooter; his sons, Stanley and Monty; his sister Peggy Holmes; and his sisters-in-law, Lena Couch and Judy Sooter.
He is survived by: his child Ruel; his wife Barbara Sooter; his daughter Deborah Rogers (Ronnie); his sisters, Ruth Kemp and Shirley Robinson; his brothers-in-law, Don and Charles Sooter; his grandchildren, Ashley Cleveland (Nathan), Justin Wright (Marquisia), LeJeana Wright and Lindsey Dean (Timothy); and his great grandchildren, Seth, Hannah Cleveland, Nicholas, Lily Wright, Madeline Hamm, Kristen, Alana Allen, Skyler, Kenzie, Chase and Brynley Dean.
In lieu of flowers the family is also encouraging that donations be made in Ruel Wright's name to New Hebron Baptist Church for Bible and Hymnals.
