He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Alford Lyons and Myrtle Lyons Knotts; and his siblings, William Wade Lyons, Sr., Leo Lyons, Robert Ross Lyons, Charles Oakley Lyons, Fred Douglas Lyons, Jerry Lyons, Doris Lyons McVay and Jeri Stewart.
He is survived by: his grandsons, Jacob Lyons, Noah Lyons, Caleb Lyons and Adam Lyons; his sister Carolyn Lyons Davis of Macon, Georgia; his former wife Linda Faye Keen Lyons; and his pet Zoe.
