With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ray Carter of Waskom, Texas, who passed away on October 7, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Carter, Sr. and Asleener Cooper Carter; his wife Zetha Mae Agers Carter; and his brothers, Curtis Carter, Jr., Artie Carter and Howard Carter.

He is survived by: his children, Travis Ray Carter, Sr. (Dorothy) of Waskom, Texas and Doris Marie Carter Williams (Larry) of Midlothian, Texas; his grandchildren, Travis Ray Carter, Jr. of Waskom, Andrea Carter Zuniga (Victor) of Marshall, Keith Carter of Tyler, Christopher Williams (Nicole) of Grand Prairie, Larry M. A. Williams of Dallas and Quinton Carter of Waskom, Texas; and his sisters, Dorothy Turner of Marshall, Willie Faye York of Elysian Fields, Asleener Manning of Elysian Fields, Wyonia Ann Williams (Robert) of Elysian Fields, Nellie Benton of Ft. Worth and Anna Jernigan (Curtis) of Marshall, Texas. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
