He is survived by: his wife Peggy Payne; his sons, Derek Payne (Heidi) and Dusty Payne (Brandon); his brother David Payne; his sister-in-law Paula Richardson; his great-niece Jamie Gossens; and his adoptive son Jayson Beasley.
