He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Meier and Mathilda Oevermann Meier; his siblings, Anita, Aline (Lloyd Gerland), Alfrieda (Charlie Herzog), Wilfred and Carl; his sister-in-law Bern Nell Meier; his brother Erwin; his nephew Bobby Herzog; his parents-in-law, Albert and Lydia Dornhoefer; and his siblings-in-law, Leolie Koester, Evelyn and Allen Spies.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Dornhoefer; his son Tim; his daughter-in-law Shirley Meier; his daughter Evon; his son-in-law Roger Schulze; his grandchildren, Travis (Kristin Meier), Joshua Meier (Meghan Dowling), Amy Schulze Dahmann (Jonathan), Rebecca Schulze and Elizabeth Schulze; his great grandchildren, Everett, Eli and Emma Dahmann; and his siblings-in-law, Herbert Koester and Ruth Meier. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
