He is survived by: his spouse Lucy "Marlene" Smith; his children, Hank Terry Modlin, Sr. of Washington, John Roy Modlin (Sarah) of Washington, Becky, Jenkins (Ronnie) of Williamston, Wanda M. Godwin of Henrico, VA and Rita Paulette Coggins (Steve) of Rocky Mount; his daughter-in-law Karen Modlin of Bath; and his brother Bobby Earl Modlin (Betty) of Blounts Creek. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
