He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ione Matthews, and Morris A. Matthews, Sr.; his children, Mark Andrew and Margrett Rene Matthews; his siblings, Louis Matthews, Sr., Yvonne Matthews and Anne Marie Hogue; his wife Billie Matthews; and his children, Trina Dawn Stephenson (Miriam) and Shonn Martin Matthews (Melanie). He was also cherished by 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
