She was loved and cherished by many people including: her father Howard "Cotton" Lavaughn Bates; her brothers, Howard Wayne Bates and Bobby Lavaughn Bates; her daughter-in-law Selita Gober; her husband Carl "Richard" Gober Sr. of Warren; her mother Delia "Dee" Bates of Hillister; her children, Carl Richard "Bo" Gober Jr. (Vickie) of Villiage Mills, Dena Marie Chinery (Steven) of Fayetteville, TN, Eva Jolee Shanley (Joe) of Mont Belvieu and Mandy Caryl Matlock (James) of Warren; her grandchildren, Reba Nelson (Cody), Matthew Gober, Dustin Gober (Ashlee), Samantha Nizam (Zak), Tyler Platt, Garrett Platt, Morgan Chinery, Ahna Chinery, Michelle Shanley, Noel Shanley, Tony Shanley, Abigail Shanley, Kyra Matlock, Chloe Matlock, Emily Matlock, Seth Matlock and Cassandra Matlock; and her great grandchildren, Claire Nelson, Kahlan Gober, Amber Gober, Leigha Gober and Emma Nizam.
