He is survived by: his parents-in-law, Nancy and Dude Schuman; his wife Sharon "Sam" Hammonds; his daughters, Lori Storey (Michael) of Nederland and Sheri Buchanan (Jack) of San Antonio; his siblings, Dorla Lee McGlasson of Cedar Creek, Tommy Hammonds of Vidor, Arthur Hammonds of Nederland, Janie Austin (Wayland) of Vidor, Wanda Foxworth (Larry) of Magnolia and Betty Bosarge of Vidor; his grandchildren, Katelyn Muñoz (Tyler), Ryan Storey, Kelsie Buchanan and Jack David Buchanan; and his great grandchild Mary Clare Muñoz. He is also survived by other family members and friends.
The family asks that donations be made in their loved ones name to the American Lung Cancer Society or the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
