Laura Ann Cline Obituary
Laura Ann Cline, 85, of Waller, Texas passed away September 10th, 2024. She was born September 12th, 1938, in Waco, Texas to the late Mason Caldwell and Aljaree (Holder) Caldwell. After graduating from A. J. Moore High School in 1956, she went on to study Education at Prairie View A&M University. After graduating with a degree in Health and Physical Education, she started her first job at Crocket State School for girls for one year. She met and married Paul Cline on October 21st, 1961. She moved to West Columbia and taught at Charlie Brown High School. She ended her career after thirty-three years at Klein High School where she was a counselor and she coached volleyball, basketball, soccer, cheerleading, track and field, and the drill team. When she retired, she enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending time with family.
She is survived by her sons, Lamont P. Cline (Amy), Mark A. Cline (Hyneatha), Paul L. Cline II (Kate); her daughter Wynette L. Fobbs (James); her God daughter, Diane J. McPherson; and her sisters, Rosie Blocker, and Alice Stewart. Her grandchildren Kirbie Cline, Lamont Cline II, Savannah Cline, Zoie Cline, Tristan Cline, Evah Cline, Zachary Cline, Lane Fobbs, Hayla Fobbs. Her Great Granddaughter Andi Lynn Cline. And a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Including her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul L. Cline I, her brother Wayne Hawthrone, her sister Eddie Marie Deckard, her granddaughter Taylor N. Cline, and her God-granddaughter Kendall McPherson.
The family will receive visitors Friday, September 20th, 2024, from 5pm at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Spring, Texas 77379. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 21st, 2024, at 2pm at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Spring, Texas 77379, with Pastor Diane McPherson officiating. Interment to follow on Monday, September 23rd, 2024, at 10am in Houston National Cemetery 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038.
Serving as honorary pallbearers Orson G. Blocker, Garlund Cline, Ferrell Phelps, Lane Fobbs, Zachary Cline, and Lamont P Cline II.
Memorial contributions can be made to American Heart Association, American Lung Association, St. Jude's, and the Side Out Foundation.
