He is survived by: his wife Ernestine Avila of Waller, Texas; his children, Fernando Avila (Vonnie), Sylvia Aguilar (Martin), Lucinda Parker (Aaron), Susie Riemer (Michael), Amanda Rohrman (Bill) and Joe Rey Avila (Ruth); his grandchildren, Jessie, Jennifer Avila, Jessica Hall, Tina Lynn Aguilar, Antonio Aguilar, Ike, Skyy Riemer, Tyler, Trevin, Tanner Rohrman, Leonardo, Rae, Lea and Jonah Avila; and his siblings, Joe Avila, Crespin Avila, Ventura Avila, Santos Avila, Beto Avila, Conrado Avila and Flora Gonzalez. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
