He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Hopmann and Mildred Pieper Hopmann; his sisters, Betty Warzecha, Marilyn Kabela and Barbara Hopmann; his in-laws, Frank and Jessie "Lucy" Russell; and his brothers-in-law, Johnny Kabela, Wally King, Larry Russell and Norman Russell.
He is survived by: his wife Cyndy Russell Hopmann of Waller County; his daughters, Crispin Gale Ureste (Andrew) of Victoria and Lori Rohr (Jason) of Waller County; his siblings, Virginia King of Victoria, Donald Hopmann (Carolyn) of Columbiana, AL and Ray Hopmann (Mary Ann) of Victoria; his brother-in-law Willie Warzecha of Point Comfort; and his grandchildren, Brittany Gale (Joshua Taylor) of Port O'Connor, Morgan Gale (Eric Duran) of Cuero, Lauren Gale of Round Rock and John Wayne Rohr of Waller County. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
