He was predeceased by: his parents, Benito Reveles Escobedo and Juana Salas Escobedo; his grandchildren, Joshua James Escobedo and Magdleno Escobedo; his grandson-in-law Ray Garcia; his siblings, Nati Salas Escobedo, Rupierta "Ruby" Escobedo Torres, Alfredo Escobedo, Bernardino "Berny" Escobedo, Elias "Shorty" Escobedo and Francis Alvarez; his siblings-in-law, Varista Escobedo, OlgaEscobedo and Henry Perez; his nephews, Armando Torres Sr., Ralph Torres, Elias Jr. and Robert; and his niece Cathy Escobedo.
He is survived by: his wife Irma Garcia Escobedo; his children, Rufino "Ruffy" Escobedo Jr. (Emlyn), Steven Julian Escobedo (Terri) and Timothy Dwayne "Timbo" Escobedo Sr.; his former wife Sylvia; his grandchild Rufino "R. T."; his great grandchildren, Jordyn Marie Escobedo, Wyatt Reed, Layton Reed, Weston Reed, Abigail Sapp, Madison Sapp, Sariah Regalado, Val Regalado, Izaiah Regalado, Sadie Garcia, Sarah Garcia, Joshua Garcia and Katlina Escobedo; and his sister Mercedes Perez.
Due to the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin, capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries. Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask. and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.
In lieu of flowers donations are being accepted towards the funerals services for Mr. Escobedo.
