It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Paula Mata Zapata of Wall, Texas, born in Austin, Texas, who passed away on July 3, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Paula Mata Zapata to show support.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Filiberto Zapata and Mariana Mata Zapata; her siblings, Trinidad Zapata, Gilbert Zapata, Domingo Zapata, Nora Zapata Sifuentes, Pricillia Zapata Martinez and Estepfana "Fannie" Zapata Martinez; and her daughter-in-law Janie Reyna Zapata.

She is survived by: her children, Lupe Wilson (Charles Ellis), Frank Zapata, Janie Marie Zapata, Lillie Ann Ellis, Arthur Zapata (Lydia Serna Zapata) and David "Woody" Zapata; and her sisters, Janie Zapata Rodriguez and Mary Zapata Magallanez. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.

While employed, she supported her favorite charity, Austin Smiles, with finacial donations.
