He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Francisco Benavides and Blanca Benavides; and his former wife Diana Benavides. He is survived by: his wife Eva Benavides; his children, Mario Benavides, Jr. (Alana) and Priscilla Benavides; his grandchildren, Mario A. Benavides III, Marco Antonio Benavides and Mateo Alejandro Benavides; his stepchildren, Lauren Tran (Phil), Sarah and Puerto; and his siblings, San Juanita Mendoza (Victor), Maricela Benavides, Blanca Buentello (Matias), Maria Refugio Rivera (Antonio) and Leticia Benavides. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Due to the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin, capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries. Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask. and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.
