He was predeceased by: his father Manuel Montalvo, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Rosalinda Espinosa-Montalvo; his daughters, Deanna Espinosa (Anthony Robles), Analissia Montalvo (Juan Robledo) and Marianna Montalvo; his grandson Vincent Robledo; his mother AnaMaria Montalvo; his brothers, Xavier Montalvo (Cher) and Carlos Montalvo (Heather Geib); his mother-in-law Dominga J. Espinosa; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Espinosa, Martin Espinosa (Mamie) and Irma Espinosa. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
