He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Walden and Virginia Katherine Schoch; his brother Richard Ralph Schoch; his son-in-law David Dunkley; and his sisters-in-law, Helene Schoch (Edward) and Dolly Schoch (Keith).
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Schoch; his sons, John Charles Schoch and Paull Allan Schoch (Kim); his stepchildren, Scott Thiel, Richard Thomas Thiel and Terri Jean Dunkley; his grandchildren, Paul Allan Schoch, Cameron Gregory Schoch, Sahannon Schoch, Sam Schoch, Nicolas Sanders, Brandi Lynn Palmer (Nate), Jon Dunkley (Adri) and Justin Dunkley; his great grandchildren, Camri Palmer, Sawyer Palmer and Zada Dunkley; and his siblings, Edward William Schoch, David Thomas Schoch, Mary Kay Tiller (Denny), Keith James Schoch and Kathleen Marie Geist (David). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Due to the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Restrictions from the City of Austin, capacity levels are restricted at funeral homes, churches, and cemeteries. Each person entering the funeral home, church, and cemetery will be required to wear a mask. and to practice social distancing of 6 feet or more.
In leiu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in honor of Charles be made to VFW Post 3377 or American Legion Travis Post 76.
