She was predeceased by: her former husband Dr. H. R. Shay; her husband Johnnye Foster; her son Steve Foster; and her parents, Albert Hinton and Ruth Hinton.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Batts, Doug Foster (Vicki), Tanya Dunham (Glenn), Greg Foster (Sarah) and Jan Avery (Richard); her grandson John Foster; her great grandchildren, Michael Foster (Nicole), Matthew Foster, Will Foster, Tyler Foster, Justin Foster, Elliot Dunham-Murphy, Oliver Dunham-Murphy, Karen Lopez (Patrick), Melanie Davis, Alexis Turner, Sarah Fountain, Parker Fountain, Cameron Fountain, Steven Fountain and Bella Fountain; and her great great grandchildren, Gage Foster, Jase Foster, Carter Lopez, Grant Lopez, Madison Davis, Emily Wilbanks, Katharine Wilbanks, John-David Wilbanks, Madalyn Garcia and Kane Wadell.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The St. Jude Children's Hospital in Mrs. Foster's name at 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
