With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maria Vela of Waelder, Texas, who passed away on May 30, 2020 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Aurelio Cardenas and Benita Coronel Cardenas; her husband Benito Vela; her son Heriberto Vela; and her brother Martin Cardenas.
She is survived by: her children, Benita Vela (Michael Marlar) of Gonzales, Delfa Vela (Mario Barrientos) of Mexico, Rosa Villegas (Joel) of Gonzales, Marcus Vela of Mexico and Everardo Vela (Victoria) of Gonzales; and her siblings, Cirila Berrones, Veronica Cardenas, Benito Cardenas, Rene Cardenas, Raudel Cardenas and Jose Cardenas. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
