He was predeceased by: his father Jessie F. Perez; his stepparents, Tim Vargas and Angie Perez; his siblings, Linda, Mathew Costa, Joe, Paul and Tim Vargas; and his mother-in-law Lena Gayton Garcia.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, David II, Melissa, Stacy and Joann; his wife Rita Gayton Garcia; his mother Manuela Vargas; his sons, Vincent, Michael, Julian and Robert, Sr.; his daughters-in-law, Racheal, Chloe and Melissa; his grandchildren, John, Rozlyn, Michael, Robert, Jr., Marissa, Liz, Anthony and Jason; and his siblings, Delores, Janie, Floria, Gloria, Angela, Christina, Jessie (Esther), Rudy, Sam, Robert, Jesse, Mark and Anthony. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
