It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Troy Antwan Degrate of Waco, Texas, who passed away on February 11, 2025, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Troy Degrate; and his grandparents, Richard, Lillie Mae Degrate, Mattie and Ezekiel Hicks (Doc).
He is survived by: his mother Shirley Degrate; his father-in-law Albert Stroupe; his sisters, Bridget Degrate and Shi'Neece Stroupe; his children, Jaylon Degrate, Kayshia Degrate-Prescott, Prince Degrate and Justice Degrate; the parent of his children Shakoor Turner; and his nephews, Darius Guzman and Cameron Ephraim.
A memorial service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lake Shore Funeral Home (5201 Steinbeck Bend Dr, Waco, TX 76708).
