He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Columbus and Hazel E. Tompkins; his sister Marsha K. Tompkins; and his son Marshal Christopher Tompkins. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Tompkins; his son Richard Horton; his brother-in-law Al Corry; his mother-in-law Martha "Jo" Bryen; his daughter-in-law Shannon Horton; and his grandchildren, Courtney, River, Ethan Horton, Marshal Cole and Chloe Bella Tompkins.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Grace Gardens Funeral Home & Crematorium (8220 Woodway Dr, Woodway, TX 76712). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location.
