He is survived by: his wife Elena Fano; his daughters, Peka Holmes (Matt), Rufo Chidester (Jacob), Fiasili Laloni and Nani Ames (Amber); his grandchildren, Elena-Cherie Holmes, Molly-Louise Holmes, Kolianetuma Chidester, Helamana Chidester, Alema Chidester, Amoleka Chidester, Solomon Laloni, Metui Laloni, Lagi Pepe Laloni, Mitchell Ames, Niko Ames and Evyn Ames; and his siblings, Sailiata Fano, Ben Fano, Salilo Tai Fano, Alapati Fano, Reverend Johnny Fano, Fa'agai Fano (Fusitele), Kesimale Fano, Maupu Laie, Fa'aui Lefotu, Pese Aumau and Anuilagi Toilolo.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (1502 Virginia Ave, Copperas Cove, TX 76522). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery (11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542).
