He is survived by: his sister Mary Catherine Sams (Cerebral Palsy); his friends, Graham Cole, Fred Bostwick, Carl Trautschold, Rook Edwards, John Skinner, Bill Howard and Jack Allen; his son Ross Sr.; his cousin Joe Shearin (Baylor Law School); his uncle Rowe Sams; his children, Jamie Sue Sams and First National Bank of Central Texas; his grandson Ross; his former wife Sondra Sams; his daughter Donna Sams; his grandchildren, Nathan O'Neal and Sarah Peters (Matt); his great grandchild Abigail Sanner (Indiana); his nephew Hobby Howell (Krista); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Hob Howell (Danyell) and Clark Howell; his niece Gala Howell King (Ross); his friend Fidel Salazar (Rosy); and also, Arnold Miller, Jan Witt, Polly and David Sanner (Indiana).
