He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewitt Gray and Lucille Gray (Smith); his son David Gray; and his brothers, Danny Gray and Glynn Gray.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Gray (Lawler); his daughter Rhonda Waters; his brother Dewitt Gray; his grandchildren, Rhiannon Hill and Karyna Eubanks; and his great grandchildren, Braeleigh Hill, John Hill and Andreas Hernandez. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
