As Nelta Janette departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Nelta Janette. Though Nelta Janette may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Pursley and Claudie Pursley (Sumblin); her spouse Thomas Spillar; her son Dale Wallace; and her sister Mary Lou Peterson.
She is survived by: her sons, Mark and Michael Wallace; her grandchildren, Branden Johnson (Miriam), Melanie Wallace (Johnny) and Skylar Wallace; and her great grandchildren, Lucas Lykins and Hayden Gassaway. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many lifelong friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pecan Grove Funeral Home (3124 Robinson Dr, Waco, TX 76706). A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Oakwood Cemetery (2124 S 5th St, Waco, TX 76706).
