She was predeceased by: her parents, Levi Johnson-Jackson and Savannah Johnson-Jackson; her son Emanuel Powell Jr.; her granddaughter Monica Powell; and her siblings, Herman, Willie, Irene, Paul, Ollie, Biona, John, Marvis, Pearline and Mary Jo.
She is survived by: her sons, Rev. Marvin Powell (Debra) of Robinson and Demetrius Powell (Marze) of Hewitt; and her grandchildren, Angela Cotton, Marvin Powell II (Kasey), Tori Powell (Gideon), Gemeta Powell, Shaka Powell, James Powell, Rocki Powell Horne (Dymus), Rayna Powell (Jacksonville N. Carolina), Madison Powell and Demetria Powell. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
