He was predeceased by: his parents, James Pendleton and Idora Motley (Bonner); his siblings, Theodore (Motley), Ida May Motley Hester, Geneva Gennette Motley Tharpe and Hazel Motley Tolleson; and his son-in-law David Webb.
He is survived by: his wife Antoinette Motley of Waco; his children, Barbara Webb of Crowley, Nicole Sage (Justin) of Waco and James P. Motley of Waco; his grandchildren, Lauren Webb, Katherine Webb and Jadyn Haug; and his great grandchildren, Gordon Sage of Waco, Lillian Sage of Waco and Olivia Sage of Waco. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
