He was predeceased by: his parents, William Billings and Irene Billings (Covey); his wife Patricia Young; his stepmother Eunice Billings; and his siblings, William Billings Jr., Texana Billings and Betty Ann Glover.
He is survived by: his children, Sherry Nanyes, Charlie Billings, Paul Billings (Victoria), Rita Billings, Michael Johnson (Holly), Kelly Johnson (Charlotte) and J. T. Smith; his sisters, ClairRene Walker, Jane Gribble and Marylon Williams; and his sister-in-law Ann Billings. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Cemetery Association or Providence Hospice.
