Though Kathleen may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Kathleen touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie Louise Leno and John McGowan; and her brother Michael Leno Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Detron Smith and Kimberly Leno of Austin, Texas.; and her siblings, Patricia Banks of Dallas, Texas, Cynthia Bolden (Robert) of Humble, Texas, Sandra Harris (Gerald Sr.) of Waco, Texas, Jessie Mae Leno of Waco, Texas., Donald Ray Leno, Sr. (Thelma) of Waco, Charles Leno Sr. of Waco and Robert Landrum of Houston. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church (500 Turner St, Waco, TX 76704). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
