In the sacred silence of farewell, Joy is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Joy's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Combs and Ruth Combs; her husbands, Wilton L. Davis and Bill Cagle; her daughter Karen J. Davis; her brother Jack C. Combs; and her grandson Mason L. Davis.
She is survived by: her son Larry (Kim); and her grandson Paul (Megan). She is also survived by many family members, friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the OakCrest Funeral Home (4520 Bosque Blvd, Waco, TX 76710). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oakwood Cemetery (2124 S 5th St, Waco, TX 76706).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Fuzzy Friends or Cogdell United Methodist Church.
