It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Ellen Yows of Waco, Texas, born in Manhattan, Kansas, who passed away on December 13, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William LaShell and Lois LaShell; her brother Bill LaShell; and her granddaughter Karlie Odum. She is survived by: her husband Tom Yows; her children, Bryon Cunningham (Lara), Cristy Cunningham, Sharon Vickerson (Rich) and Jennifer Kirby (Justin); and her stepchildren, James Justin Yows (Mary) and Jocelyn Yows (Heath Grimes).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Methodist Church Waco Kids Kastle, The American Cancer Society, God is Big Enough Ministries (P. O. Box 24263, Waco TX 76712), The American Heart Association or a charity of choice.
