He was predeceased by: his parents, James L. Hyde and Molly Bell Hyde; his wife Shirley Jean; his son Charles Jason Tate; his grandson Mason Alexander Price; and his siblings, Wayne Hyde, Molly Jean, Ginger Ann and Martha Kay.
He is survived by: his children, Sean Tate (Heidi), Tammy Pavelka (Randy), Jerry Don Hyde Jr. (Stacey) and Lisa Moore (Jessie); and his siblings, Jimmy Hyde, Mary Nathanson (Robert) and Becky Cox (Mike). He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and countless nieces, nephews, and friends he loved.
