He is survived by: his wife Sue Herring; his son James Clinton Bowen (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Seth Andrew and Lauren Paige Bowen; his great grandchild Elaine Sophia Bowen; his sister Norma Jo Smith; and his siblings-in-law, Tommy Herring (Sue) of Hobbs, Georgia Lee Bowen and Michael Albert McGee. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
