It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geraldine (Gerry) Malone in Waco, Texas, who passed away on February 10, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Worley and Loranza Newberry; her husband Guy Wilbert Sims; her former spouse W. W. Malone (Buck); her siblings, Irene Gibbs of Round Rock, TX, Anna Cummings of Indianapolis, IN and Harold Worley of East Lyme, CT; her son James O. Sims of Kansas City, KS; and her grandson Allen James Wilmoth of Kingsport, TN..
She is survived by: her daughter Nancy Ann Wilmoth of Easley, SC; her grandchildren, Amy L. James of Hampton, TN and Andrew Wilmoth of Easley, SC.; her great grandchildren, Madison Hyder, Nicholas Hyder and Katrina Hyder; her daughter-in-law Natalia Sims of Kansas City, KS; her grandchildren-in-law, Polina Sterkhova, Viktoria Sterkhova and Ekaterina Sterkhova-Ortiz (Daniel); her daughter-in-law Vickie Sims of Kansas City, KS; her grandson Shane Sims; her stepdaughter Patricia S. Hood; her grandson David Hood; and also, Sofiya and Roman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and her dear friends.
She had a bad fall in April 2022 and broke her leg, so she moved into nursing care during the pandemic.
