He was predeceased by: his parents, Agnes Eskew and Cecil Eskew; his wife Dorothy Helen Maddox; and his siblings, Ralph, Magee, Mary Jane "Goonie" Manning, Charlotte Nannette Wiese and Lynda Wilkins.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Wilson (Elec "Wink"), Donald Eskew (Debbie), David Eskew and Carolyn Haferkamp (Rusty); his grandchildren, Jason Wilson, Donald Eskew, Jr., Stacy, Jennifer Wilson, Jeff Eskew, Brittney Eskew, Emma Haferkamp and Kate Haferkamp; his stepgrandson Cody King (Joy); his great grandchildren, Tyler, Parker, Abby and Paisley; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Preston, Mason, Aiden, Brooks and Aubrey. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Community Healthcare of Texas - Providence Hospice, whose caring staff made it possible for him to spend his last hours at peace, surrounded by family.
