Though Cortez may no longer walk beside us, their spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Cortez leaves behind.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the McDowell Funeral Home (1725 Gholson Rd, Waco, TX 76705). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Zion Baptist Church (206 Arthur St, McGregor, TX 76657). A burial will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery (11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542).
